In 2024, FabWrap is taking its commitment to sustainability to new heights. With a mission to be as sustainable as possible, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment. Our focus for this year is even better approaching and achieving zero waste as our core values of creativity, fun, and enjoyment are our motto!

2023 has been an incredible year for FabWrap, and it's all thanks to our newest member, Fumi. She brings and inspires with her fresh ideas and a renewed commitment to creativity and sustainability. Fumi's talents and personality her multi-faceted artist and her passion for eco-friendly initiatives is a priceless addition to FabWrap.

Furoshiki VS Fabric Bags or Something else?

Implementing Upcycled Furoshiki addresses the reduction of paper-wrapping waste as well as saving the amount of pre-loved materials which was discarded. The Furoshiki method is the greatest ancient skill and versatile skill that we want to introduce to everyone in Aotearoa. However, at FabWrap, we believe that every small action counts when it comes to preserving the planet. That's why we have set our sights on achieving zero waste in all aspects of our operations. By offering these alternatives and explaining their environmental benefits, we can help encourage people who aren't interested in Furoshiki to adopt more sustainable wrapping practices that align with their preferences and values.

Creative Solutions

Using upcycled material is more challenging than using new materials to create something. The materials are not always readily available or in the desired condition. It takes us extra time to find and prepare the materials for use in a project. Every single pre-loved resource had a story, we touched the materials and re-created the best product in the end. We enjoy working and thinking outside the box and coming up with unique solutions. We keep exploring upcycle materials and techniques that allow us to re-create beautiful and eco-friendly products. If the product you've got is something you like and you realise it's all made of recycled materials, then We are winning!

Collaboration

We need your help! Achieving our sustainability goals requires collaboration. We actively seek partnerships with like-minded organisations and individuals who share our passion for the planet. By working together, we can amplify our impact and inspire others to join the movement towards a more sustainable future.
